Urban and central city master plans must recognize neighborhoods and districts as critical to sustaining both citywide and regional economic prosperity. We have developed master plans for central business districts, waterfronts, and historic, cultural, and entertainment districts, which have reversed trends of disinvestment by building upon the strengths of an area and by leveraging private and public sector reinvestments. Our implementation strategies add new uses and activities, improve quality-of-life amenities, diversify resident population, and improve business, employment, and economic development opportunities. | |
